I have a special place in my heart for ASUS motherboards. My first, what i would have considered then, high performance machine had an ASUS as its board and it was always good to me. I built my most recent Uber-machine based upon the ASUS reputation and my own prior experience. I didn't care that it didn't have firewire. It's got everything else that matters. I've had my board for over a month and I just recently installed a ThermalTake Tower 112 as a CPU cooler. The ASUS board handles the weight and size no problem. I couldn't have asked for an easier adaptive installation. I don't regret not getting the SLI version because I'll never need the video power. I'm not a gamer. I am, however, a video and audio producer. The speed at which this board operates with the dual channel RAM is astounding. There's plenty of room for upgrade as the SATA 2.0 drives become more available and dual core processors drop in price. I don't see myself replacing this board soon.
